- 2 cups split peas
- 8 cups hot water
- 1-2 lbs ham bones or hocks
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 cup celery & tops, diced
- 1/2 cup carrots, diced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
Sort & wash peas in a colander under running water. Combine all ingredients,
heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours. |
