Welcome. I have reserved this informal page so I can have a little fun. For those of you who may not know me, I've quite a variety of interests; building this web site is one of them. I get a kick out of making amateur films, playing acoustic guitar and ukulele, composing music, and spending time with my wife, friends, and Doberman, Buddy. Photography is one of my favorite pastimes, as is motorcycle riding and playing the French game, Pétanque. I read various scientific journals and try to keep up with the latest news in Physics and Astronomy, Cognitive Science, Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology and Genetics. In fact, I publish a science website called Machines Like Us.
